First Phone ("the app," "we," "us") is a parental tool that helps families set screen-time schedules on a child's device. This policy explains how the app handles information. It is written to be simple, because the app is built to be simple: it keeps your data on your device and sends nothing anywhere.
We want to be direct about this. First Phone does not collect any of the following:
We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. There is no account to create and no login.
To work, First Phone stores a few settings locally on the device where it is installed. This information never leaves the device and is never sent to us or anyone else:
First Phone uses Apple's Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity frameworks to apply screen-time limits. These are part of iOS and are managed entirely by Apple on the device. First Phone does not receive, store, or transmit any of the underlying usage data. Apple's handling of this information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
First Phone is set up by a parent or guardian and runs on a child's device. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects no information from children. We have designed the app so that no data about a child is gathered, stored, or shared. This is intended to align with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws.
First Phone is available as a one-time purchase through the App Store. Payment is processed entirely by Apple. We never see or store your card details or billing information. Apple's handling of payments is governed by their own terms and privacy policy.
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and post the revised version here. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
